City of Fort Myers Fire Awarded $3,891,924.00 SAFER Grant to ReHire Firefighters

September 24th, 2010 Today the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded the City of Fort Myers Fire Department a total of $3.89 million dollars to rehire the laid off Firefighter who lost their jobs almost one year ago. Special thanks to the IAFF, President Harold Schaitberger, and staff for their assistance.
