City of Fort Myers Who Are You Going to Call to Rehire The Fire


The following is an example of what to send to your city officials:

Dear XXXXX,
I am seriously disappointed with the budget that was approved on September 23rd. It has severely weakened the fire department’s effectiveness. The city’s policy statement says that you want to preserve and enrich the quality of life, deliver critical public services in a timely and efficient manner, and that the key to doing that is by retaining highly qualified city employees.
But the highly trained firefighters that protect this city were not retained! So how can the city assure it’s citizens of the other aspects of it’s policy? How can the quality of life be enriched in a city where houses are now more likely to be burned down and people are more likely to die in a serious car accident?
Don’t let a Civilian or Firefighters death be what it takes to finally move you to rehire the fire !!!
